I will gladly vote for either Republican candidate. However, voting for Lowden over Tarkanian because she is a woman is something I will not be doing. I object to the practice of choosing candidates based on sex and race. Let's leave that to the Democrats and try to choose the best candidate regardless of their gender or race. And let's face it - it really wouldn't matter if half of the Senate was made up of pro-life women. The media would continue to ignore the fact and paint abortion and women's rights as one and the same.

I didn’t say that we should support Lowden because she’s a woman, I said that we should support her because she is a proven and experienced conservative with the wherewithal to take Reid’s attacks and defeat him in November, and then not to go wobbly in the Senate. I then mentioned that, as an added bonus, she will help destroy the media’s image that only men want to prohibit abortion. If you don’t think that having pro-life female Senators matters, then feel free to ignore her gender and vote for her exclusively for the myriad reasons set forth in the editorial.
