LOS ANGELES (AP) -- A Mercedes that Charlie Sheen reported stolen from his Sherman Oaks home was found overturned hundreds of feet down a nearby cliff early Friday, but there's no evidence anyone was in the car when it went into the ravine, police said.
A Bentley was later found off the same road nearby Friday afternoon, and police said three other cars reportedly were broken into in the same area. Police were investigating if the incidents were linked.
Police got an emergency call around 4 a.m. from an OnStar-style alert system that calls emergency officials when there is a problem with the vehicle that may require assistance, Officer Wendy Reyes said. At about the same time, Sheen called police to say his four-door Mercedes-Benz had been stolen, Officer Bruce Borihanh said.

So ... insurance? Is that the idea?
Well then, next question. Will they pay? I would have to think they are at least as suspicious as the rest of us.
At about the same time? Hmm. “Okay, car’s in the ravine. Let’s call the cops and say it was stolen.”
Is that Toonces, RckyRaCoCo? LOL!!!!
In the article, the reporter calls the car a Mercedes, then further down the refers to the car as a Bentley. Which is/was it?
Such high standards. Charlie has enough trouble without having idiot reporters messing up his possible insurance claim.
I thought it said there were 3 cars stolen. It sounded like the Mercedes was found as well as a Bentley. Did I mis-read?
Anybody have a location on Patrick Kennedy when this was going down?
He's probably trying to figure out how to blame his assault on his wife on Bush as well.
911, this is onstar. Yes we have Charlie Sheen again in bad boy mode. Do you want us to go ahead and shut him down again so the black and whites can catch up to him?
It appears as though I am the one having comprehension difficulties today.
That ravine just jumped out in front of my car, officer.
