CBS scores touchdown for Tim Tebow’s pro life message

Most supporters of abortion rights will provide a litany of reasons, rationales and explanations for the termination of a life. Yet in the midst of the Reagan era a decision was made by a mother and a father that would go against the grain of accepted public practice and pro-abortion advocacy.

You see in the early months of 1987 Pam and Bob Tebow – two Christian missionaries working in the Philippines – were confronted with a medical decision that reached inside their heart and weighed heavily upon their soul.

Pam was suffering from a life-threatening infection while pregnant with Tim. Unfortunately the treatment administered by the doctors to cure her dysentery and awaken her from her coma caused a placental abruption.

The test of Pam and her husband’s faith came in the time between receiving the disheartening news from the doctors and the subsequent recommendation that they abort their child....

Thanks for this post and the added info about Tim Tebow’s mother and this difficult decision.

I hope pro-lifers will be standing ready to offer the hope of God’s forgiving grace to the many women (and men who influenced them) who will see this ad who instead ended their unborn children’s life or lives and have suffered the deeply buried (for many) guilt for years - leading to all kinds of suffering and tragedy in their own lives.

I hope pro-lifers will PRAY during the airing of this ad for these women as well as of course for other women (and the men involved) who may be considering an abortion right now.

Actually, this one ad scores a miracle for the unborn babies.

The pro abort crowd has shown their ugly face to everyone. The truth about their agenda is now clear to everyone who has seen these people ranting on the cables and the networks.

Anyone with a shred of intellectual honesty now knows that it’s not about choice, it’s about killing your unborn baby.

I've been saying all along that CBS will bail on this ad before game time. It's beginning to look like they will not. Now I am beginning to wonder if they're thinking about following Fox New's lead and becoming a more conservative network . . .

Between running this ad in spite of all of the lefty protest and cutting "Perky's" salary, who knows . . .

After all, they were the "hillbilly" network years ago . . . Maybe it's time for a return to that moniker!

Tell me more about Focus on the Family.

Focus on the Family has an unmistakable anti-choice, anti-birth-control, anti-sex-education, and anti-gay agenda. Its views on women are insulting and dangerous. Here are just a few of the outrageous claims the group has made:

* Its web site urges women facing unintended pregnancy to seek “wise advice” because “the hormones and extreme emotions of pregnancy make reasonable decisions more difficult.”

* Its web site calls sex outside of marriage “destructive.”

Another reason why the pro-abortion crowd desperately do not want this ad to be aired is because it will increase guilt in the minds of many, many women who chose to end a life twenty or twenty-five years ago - 1.6 million abortions in the US the year that Tebow was born. This guilty reflection of reality will cause more women to turn away from being supporters of abortion, a situation that the NARAL gang really fear.

How can they not think about what their own child would be like today as they look at Tim Tebow? Maybe some will realize the value of each human life and start their own healing process... something not possible while they are still in denial.
