We do get green and gold at Masses during the football season. As much as I love the Packers, I can't get myself to wear Packer attire to Mass.
The funniest thing I've ever see happen was back in 96/97 when the Packers were in New Orleans to play in the Super Bowl during the game against the Patriots. Our priest, Father Don, wore green of course because of it being Ordinary Time in the Liturgical calendar. After Mass he took out his golden G he had hidden under his vestments. The congregation cheered. He of course said the G stood for God.
St. Vincent would have been proud!
