Yes, I know some people who had one daughter and then the dad got mumps and became sterile.
I also know a 30 yr old who just had chicken pox and it almost killed him. He was sick for over 2 months.
Most of the childhood diseases are harder on adults than on children.

Doesn’t getting mumps in older life increase chances of sterility...like big time? My father's brother, who was 14 years older than my father, was infertile due to mumps he contracted at age 19. My father got the mumps from his brother, so he was just 4 when he got them.
