Palin stumps for 'good friend' Perry in Cypress

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin stumped for Gov. Rick Perry at a rally Sunday in suburban Houston, adding some national Republican star power to Perry's re-election campaign.

“I doubt there is another public figure in our country who gives liberals a bigger case of the hives than our special guest today,” Perry said. “At the very mention of her name, the liberals, the progressives, the media elites, they literally foam at the mouth.”

Palin appeared with Perry a day after the Republicans' most recent vice-presidential nominee addressed the first national convention of the anti-establishment “tea party” coalition in Nashville, Tenn.

Perry is firmly establishment in Texas but has campaigned as anti-Washington in his March 2 GOP primary race against U.S. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison. He is seeking a third four-year term that would add to his tenure as the longest-serving governor in Texas history.

For starters look up Debra Medina's column 'Latinos and the GOP'

'It’s a shame isn’t it, that Republicans continue to ignore Hispanics especially here in Texas?' Debra Medina

'Ignore them', Mrs Medina? Since when? What more do you want? Or shouldn't we ask?

Medina ad:

“Who is going to think more about Latino families? Rick Perry, Kay Bailey Hutchison or me, who has a Latino family?” (Medina’s cultural heritage is German and Bohemian.)

She told a colleague last month in an e-mail. “Being married, however, to someone with a Mexican American heritage, I certainly embrace the culture.” But before she explained that, she told my colleage, who had asked her whether she considers herself Latina: “I’d not consider myself anything other than a wife and mother, a nurse and a patriot. I believe we too often get into race when it’s immaterial.”

No, Thanks, Mrs Medina.

She is also running Spanish ads. Hello Mrs.Medina! If they cannot speak English then they have no business voting IMO. When they learn English then let them vote. Assimilate. Learn English. Appreciate all America gives you.

So I’m sure she is blowing a lot of hot air just like Obama did just to get elected. Running those ads and saying what she has, tells me the border issue is just a try to get votes for herself.

Medina is about as qualified to be Governor as zero was to be President- want to re-visit how that is working out? She's a Libertarian running on the Republican ticket. She is supported by the Ron Paul worship crowd and she herself has acted in the Ron Paul worship capacity. She has demonstrated a lack of knowledge about Texas law and current ballot initiatives.

No, thanks, I’ll stick with ‘ol RINO Perry. Texas has remained in better shape than almost any if not all of the states in the union under Perry's watch. As someone said, 'he's the devil we know'.

The motly crew running for governor is laughable; a MUSLIM, a trecherous RINO woman* (Hutchison) and a woman with questionable loyalties

*Feds Have Built Only 32 Miles of 700 Mile Double-Border Fence Originally Mandated by Congress “One reason DHS has been able to do this is an amendment that Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison (R.-Texas) slipped into an omnibus appropriations bill that Congress passed on December 18, 2007. Hutchison’s amendment put a loophole in the fence law that allowed the secretary of Homeland Security not to build the fence Congress had mandated the year before.”

I’d take a libertarian over a RINO 9 times out of 10.

LOL!

Yeah, I guess your weak little dig at Palin just knocked the wind right out of her sails.

Wake up, Marie. History is playing out before your very eyes. And, a very good history it is.

“The GOP really need look no further than George Lopez’s tear into KBH’s vote against Supreme Court Justice Sotomayor to see an example of the seriousness of potential Hispanic voter back lash.” Debra Medina

KBH is the open borders queen. WHe and the other Texas Queen, along with Perry, sh*tcanned the border fence. She is worthless, and has been as long as I can remember. Perry is equally squalid

My wife and I will be voting for Debra Medina. But, if it was between Perry and Ted Kennedy’s girlfriend, Kay, we’d be going with Perry all the way.

I get the feeling that Goodhair will be Palin’s running mate should she get the nomination.

Do you have a source for that? If so, I and everyone I know who plans to vote for her will cast our vote for Perry instead. GIVE ME A SOURCE PLEASE.

I think Vaccine Ricky will be running for the presidency himself if he wins Texas again. For that reason alone, KBH is preferable.

The reason that concerns me is that Palin herself has said that we need to challenge incumbents.Perry is weak on immigration now that he wants to be re-elected he’s is suddenly tough on issues that he would never take any action.Oh and Mccain has also been inside the beltway and need to be replaced. But since you blindly follow her every word you would not notice that would you?

That would be a mistake. She doesn’t need him to carry The Lone Star State and besides, he is an empty suit. But, at least he’s not a “Moderate” like Kay.

You have that right as for Perry he was not ashamed to be associated with the tea party movement from the start. Hutchison and the rest of the crowd is much worse. Palin isn’t playing small ball.

Kay Bailey Hutchison has become quite liberal since going to the Senate in ‘93. She is a closet pro-choicer and voted for Obama’s Stimulus Plan. And, she “loved” Ted Kennedy.
