Paterson denies
With everyone in town scrambling to match a New York Times story that doesn't (yet) exist, the governor talks to the Associated Press:
New York Gov. David Paterson is lashing back at what he calls an orchestrated, scandalous assault on his character that includes unsubstantiated accusations about womanizing and drug use that he flatly denies.
The Democratic governor tells The Associated Press that the media and New York politics have hit new lows, but it won't stop him from serving in office or seeking election to a full term in the fall.
He cited as fabricated one published report that he was caught by state police in the mansion with a woman other than his wife. He said the room in which he was reportedly caught doesn't even exist.
He would only address other accusations broadly, but denied all the sexual relationships and drug use that are among the unproven accusations.
At this point it is necessary to go to the newspaper of record for the real story:
The National Enquirer.
Someone said it well here on FR. Paterson is black and blind, he’s not stepping down.....unless there’s a deal.
This could be an orchestrated character assassination carried out by Cuomo associates. Or, it could be that Patterson is molesting young boys and sacrificing goats in the basement of the Governor’s mansion. It’s a democrat, so either is possible, if not both likely.

I’d guess this will excite the folks living on the rat plantation to stay home this election, should Paterson be forced out by the upper west side honkeys.

The Democrats are desperate to get rid of Paterson so he can't/won't run again.

The next quote from the governor: I look forward to spending more time with my family, and look forward to the opportunity to clear my name.
TOAST. The Democrats do not want a primary because their hero Andrew Cuomo, has a very sordid past. He was head of HUD under Clinton and has a lot of skeletons in the closet. The NY Democrat party with the blessing of the White House is about to do a reverse affirmative action. Obama gets his way, and Schumer and his ass wart Gillibrand, are looking the other way.
The Governor requested that his women wear his favorite color; corduroy.
Isn’t this the guy that Obama told not to run again? And the guy said for Obama to stick it? (my words). And now suddenly there is a scandal? Obama and his minions are behind this.
When Obama sent word that Patterson should get out of the race, he made it impossible for Patterson to raise money.
The NY Times is doing Paterson a favor. If he’s spending his time denying scurrilous rumors then he won’t have to bother explaining his tax, spend, and “let’s do it for the children” policies like a soda tax that are far more damaging.
No. It’s all true. He and his wife are ‘swingers’ or have an ‘open marriage’. His security detail know everything. They just ‘go along to get along’.
How convenient for Obozo's campaign to get Paterson to stand down at the next election. /sarc
