I feel sad for the Murtha family. He was a veteran and I appreciate his military service. God bless the family.

I agree. My prayers are that his family take comfort that God will be both merciful and just to Murtha. They of course will interpret that whatever way they want.

It is the wish of the William Russell for Congress Committee, that the passing of Mr. Murtha be treated with the utmost respect and decency by all, especially in the media and weblogs.O-kay! Duly noted. I have a question though. Am I allowed to talk about Marines? Also, a question on the love for the people claim - has it been independently verified?

"...you always knew Jack had an immense love and loyalty to his family and the residents of the 12th Congressional District."But his hatred for America and her military will and should be what he is remembered for.

Thanks, but I’ll pass. Hated him when he was alive, why should I love him now.

Nothing but class from Mr. Russell....
As a citizen of this country I can honestly say I will not miss Mr. Murtha. As someone who has lost family members my sincere sympathy and prayers for those who loved and cared for Mr. Murtha.

I’m just guessing here, but I don’t think any of the ‘rats realize what happens when God decides to make His vote count.
This is from an earlier thread posted on Jamuary 31 before he went to the hospital:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2441291/posts
“On Feb. 20, Murtha will begin his 37th year as representative in the 12th Congressional District, marking a milestone that will make him the longest-serving congressman in the history of Pennsylvania. He will surpass Republican Joseph McDade of Scranton, who retired in 1999 after 18 terms....

Wonder when they’ll complain about separation of church and state?
To: smoothsailing
I am always sorry for the families of people like Murtha. Still, I have to believe he left them fairly well off monetarily.
Due to his having served in Viet Nam, I hope he finds a cooler area in hell that isn’t quite as hot as the rest.

Regardless of your political position, you always knew Jack had an immense love and loyalty to his family and the residents of the 12th Congressional District.Very classy. That said.....Jack.....was a disgrace to his elected position and the uniform he once wore. Being loyal to his own self interests and enrichment will be Jacks legacy.
To: smoothsailing
Fine. But I hope he's ready to lift that campaign moratorium TOOT SWEET at the SLIGHTEST sign the Dems might be trying to pull a “Carnahan”.

Of course; that’s the decent thing to do. I’d have been disappointed in him had he not. As despicable as Jack Murtha was, one’s political opponents must maintain their character and “class” at a time like this.
