The Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD), a division of the National Institutes of Health, is giving Dr. Lynn Fiellin, an assistant professor at the Yale School of Medicine, $3.9 million over five years to develop a video game to teach “sex, drug and alcohol negotiation and refusal skills" to children 9-14 years of age.
The game will feature “virtual characters or avatars” that are guided by the children playing the game to make decisions about whether to engage in behaviors that put them at risk of being infected with HIV.
The game’s effectiveness in training children to avoid HIV-transmitting behaviors will be tested by having children as young as 9 play the game two days a week for a month—either after school or on weekends—at a New Haven, Conn., community center.

Uh...so what if the kid engages in the unsafe behavior?
Yeah, it’s taxpayer money. I was merely pointing out that the part about Eunice Kennedy Shriver was just that one part of the NIH was named for her.
Keep in mind that although she was a Democrat, Eunice Shriver was one of the “good” Kennedys. She started the Special Olympics and personally helped the disabled for decades, this was in response to the plight of her sister Rosemary Kennedy (who her father had lobotomized as a teenager). Eunice Shriver along with her husband (Sargent) also completely rejected the pro-abortion position of the Democrats.

Anyone whether in prison or not, knows that sex can give a person all kinds of STDs. It doesn’t take a college degree, a high school diploma or a long course of study to know that.
What good would any more sex-ed do? Just beat the crap out of any prisoners sodomizing another prisoner. There is a lot of rape in prison and it should be stopped. Just lock up the sodomizers in solitary.

You've GOT to be kidding me.
I am aware of the things she did, and I recognize that she is a "good" Kennedy. My parents were Kennedy Democrats.
I think RFK would be repulsed to see what the party has become.
That being said, thanks for the information on where the money came from. As usual, the elite give money that doesn't come from them, and for projects that the majority would never give to, if given the choice.
So would JFK.
Can you imagine Attorney General RFK moving the KSM trial to NYC??
