This, apparently, wasn’t what I was referring to. I don’t think she meant we shouldn’t be allowed to have guns.

I think guns should be registered. It sure helps when they’ve been used in committing a crime. We have the right to bear arms, but, we also have a responsibility to that privilege. I have to believe this was the underlying reason for gun registration. As usual, those who break the law, ruin it for every one.

It's exactly what I was referring to.

I don’t think she meant we shouldn’t be allowed to have guns.
I never said that she said we shouldn't. My contention, repeatedly given, is over her saying that guns should be registered.

I think guns should be registered.
I don't and you shouldn't. Registration leads to confiscation, plain and simple! Learn your history.

It sure helps when they’ve been used in committing a crime.
Is that an assertion masquerading as a fact? And just which compilation of registered guns has ever been used to solve a crime in the United States?

We have the right to bear arms, but, we also have a responsibility to that privilege.
Houston, we have a problem. The right to bear arms is just that, a right, not a privilege. If you would've said...we also have a responsibility to that right there would be no problem.

Think of it this way, using your own words...
We have the right to free speech, but, we also have a responsibility to that privilege.
Is your right to free speech a privilege?
