No, I don't think that a person had to have held public office to be eligible but they do need some experience with running a business and dealing with people. I think the larger business the better and having a law degree doesn't hurt. Medina can get up and say anything she wants to say but it doesn't mean that she would be capable of handing all the business that the Gov. of Texas would have to handle. I would have more faith in her abilities if she started a little lower on the ladder and worked her way up. Coming out of the dark to the governorship is a stretch for me. I am thinking the the very things that I worry about are the same things that make you like her. I'll just say if I need a surgical procedure I am looking for the doctor with the most experience and the best record not someone who just got out of med school yesterday and hasn't done anything.
