I think they alienate a lot more than 50 per cent of their readership because only about—I’ve forgotten the number exactly—24 to 28 per cent of the American people claim to be strict liberals. The 50 per cent mistake is the same one Air America made. “Duh, Hey, Al. Let’s put some liberal talk radio stations on the air. Yeah, they’ll be profitable. Don’t worry about a thing, Al. There’s no reason to do any demographic studies. Just trust me on this, will ya?”
