COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- About 1,000 American-born children are forced into the sex trade in Ohio every year and about 800 immigrants are sexually exploited and pushed into sweatshop-type jobs, a new report on human trafficking in the state said Wednesday.

as a professor, she is probably full of it. i've never seen, or even heard rumors about such activity. it may be true, but color me very skeptical. oh yeah, i've lived in ohio for 30 of my 40 years.

If this is true and I think it is, then Ohio is one of the least criminal in these categories. No need to panic. Most of the other states are much much worse.

Toledo U is one of the state schools that should be closed. Terrible faculty, horrendous research.
Note she is from Toledo. This city is the Mecca for muslims in Ohio. Servitude is normal thinking for them. Toledo is the closest thing in Ohio for Detroit. Muslim-wise and crime-wise.

The last reported news story about human slavery was where a Muslim couple had enslaved some houseworkers — do you recall this case, in California???
i live in cincinnati, and never knew about a large muslim population in toledo. i’ve never been to toledo, and have been to cleveland only on a few occasions. maybe the story does have legs, but i’m still skeptical about almost any “study” that comes out of “academia,” or what passes for it these days.
Traveling down from Michigan to Dayton through Toledo, there is a huge mosque in plain site from the highway. I’ve read it’s the biggest mosque in the US.
