I want to hear her say that she does not believe illegal aliens should be eligible for citizenship. This “pathway to citizenship” is the language of the McCain-Kennedy-Grahamnesty. And I want to hear her object to terms like “undocumented immigrant.” That’s like calling a burglar an “undocumented resident,” or a shoplifter an “undocumented purchaser.”

“I don’t believe we ought to have amnesty. I don’t think we ought to reward illegal behavior.”
— President Jorge Bush.

“It’s not an amnesty”
— Juan McCain

Great post, dangus. A single buz word, such as ‘amnesty’, can be nuanced. “I’m against amnesty but for ‘guest worker’.” Or, “I’m against guest worker and amnesty, but I’m for this expedited process.”
