Jason Pye passes on a video of Rep. Nathan Deal (R-Ga.), a candidate for governor of Georgia, being questioned by minor birther figure Carl Swensson (of “citizen grand jury” fame), and explaining the current status of his request for President Obama to release his birth certificate.

I think that it is a communication that deserves, at least, his response, first of all, I think — which we have not received. But in essence what I told him is this. When I am asked a congressman, from constituents, hard questions, I don’t shy away from hard questions. I try to answer those questions. If I don’t have the information to answer the questions, I have to go to the people who do have the answer. In this case I think the president is the one who can clear this up. What I’m asking him to do is tell me where I can ask my constituents to go to see authentic documentation that he says will satisfy their curiousity.
I know that some folks are trying to label this as politically incorrect. I want to tell you something. Political incorrectness is paralyzing our society. These kinds of things deserve straightforward responses. And I think this ought to be put to rest I’m not questioning his legitimacy to serve as president. I would think he’d like to clear that up in as unequivocal a fashion as possible. And that’s simply all I’m asking.

Too many “conservative” voices have written off the “birthers.” The fact remains that the President is stonewalling. But of course, it is the entire political establishment. If they have let him get away with this, the whole country would be up in arms—literally.
Perhaps Congressman Deal could talk to Mark Bennett, the Republican Attorney General of Hawaii who has subpoena power and could get Obama’s birth certificate released anytime he wanted to see it.
Under Hawaii statutues Attorney General Bennett could also convene a Grand Jury to investigate the authenticity of Obama’s vital birth records.
I would just like to know how his name got changed back to
Obama. If he was legally adopted by Lolo Soetoro, how and when did his name get changed back to Obama?

I decided for the heck of it, to write an email to the hospital that “the One” says he was born in and this was their response (editorial comment by me: a birthplace of a President would be something to be proud of, IMHO, they won’t comment on it because they know he wasn’t born there)

I request this last week, and here is their letter they are sending out, dated in 2009.

If he was born there, why wouldn’t he happily release his “privacy” so us little people could verify it?
Why is he hiding it? Preventing the birthplace from being released?

BO Sr flew back to Hawaii in 1971-72 to attend his 10 year Univ of Hawaii Reunion. It was at this time BO Sr went to Hawaii Circuit Court with Madelyn Dunham (Barry’s legal guardian) to have the Soetoro adoption dissolved due to lack of consent by the birth father.
The Court ordered a name change back to BHO II and a vital record to created by HI DoH to reflect said change. Since the vital record was Court ordered, it was “filed” and didn’t need to be “accepted” by the DoH based on attestation of the parent, doctor and hospital administrator.
Hawaii issues BC’s for adoptees without regard to the adoptees citizenship.
Well, that is an accurate reply. The privacy of this kind of information is considered protected under HIPAA regulation.

Deal is running for Governor of Georgia so he has nothing to lose as he won’t be in office after this year.
At least he’s willing to speak out.
There’s nothing bad or evil about being a Birther. And we’re not crazy. I no longer listen to Glenn Beck because of his dissing the Birthers.

Call me crazy, but I’m one Freeper who thinks I have a reasonable right to see the top “public servant’s” historical records and bonafides.
That’s because of the HIPAA Laws (The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996) Privacy and Security Rules. Look them up, if a hospital released ANY information, they could be sued.

Barry/Barack had an opportunity to recover his U.S. Citizenship by making an affirmative statement and taking an oath of allegiance before a Foreign Service Officer at the U.S. Embassy in Honolulu, HI until he reached the age of 18 years and 6 months.
Since that was not done, his Certificate of Loss of Nationality on file with the U.S. State Department stands. A Hawaii Circuit Court judge is not authorized to order recovery of citizenship. Recovery can only be accomplished with the authorization of the Executive Branch because it is the Commander in Chief that is reliant upon a citizen’s allegiance.
