I think community colleges have the upper hand in teaching civics. My kid, and a lot of other kids I know went to our local community college before they went on to a university for their bachelors. Our local CC seems to hire ex-military guys to teach civics and government. And from talking to the students they are/were getting excellent instruction in civics and Am. gov’t. On a regular university level, the teacher would have to have at least a Master’s, possibly a PhD in the discipline, but it doesn’t work that way for profs at the CC level, so they are able to hire ex-military.
I missed that one too, HA. Also didn't know that the SCOTUS has already struck much of Roe v. Wade. Shame on me.
missed #7 & #23, dang it!! Didn’t pause to think long enough!!
LOL!!
I enrolled in an American history course that studied American revolutionary thought from 1750 to 1775. BTW, excellent course taught by a professor who passionately believed in the American revolution. Bet that’s not taught anymore.
What the liberal educrats don’t understand is they are producing in small numbers some very good double agents that look, walk and quack like the leftist species of duck but in reality are fire breathing, gun owning, conservative kids who have learned to regurgitate their “master’s” points of view on tests/papers for the sole purpose of obtaining the college pedigree.
These kids are in a perfect position to infiltrate the dem party machine as agent provocateurs.
OH absolutely. I got it wrong too. I got into a big discussion about this with a lefty yesterday. Reagan and Bush screwed ut up by not cutting spending. We are right and they are wrong. True and simple. LOL
“I got into a big discussion about this with a lefty yesterday.”
An exercise in futility! LOL
Ya they take it personal and never answer the questions. Like all this spending and we are at over 10% unemployment. Not working
Question #12 - B. the Supreme Court struck down most legal restrictions on it in Roe v. Wade
Question #14 - B. stressed the sinfulness of all humanity
Question #30 - C. decreasing taxes and increasing spending
Question #33 - D. tax per person equals government spending per person
On #12 I chose "A. it was legal in most states in the 1960s." I should have caught that B. was a correct answer but so is A. In fact abortion was legal in ALL states prior to Roe v. Wade with restrictions.
On #14 I was torn between B. and C.. I blew it.
On #30 they ask "what is most likely?" That either depends on the views of who is in power at the time or is asking for 'what is most likely' based on a compilation of all decisions made in similar circumstances in the whole history of the country. Or all countries throughout time. They didn't specify.
I chose "D. decreasing both taxes and spending" because that seems most rational to me. Currently 0baMao and the Dems are choosing "A. increasing both taxes and spending" which is the dumbest thing to do. The quiz says "C. decreasing taxes and increasing spending" is correct.
On #33 I chose "A. government debt is zero" and the answer is "D. tax per person equals government spending per person." I plain blew that one.
I was more concerned that I might miss #4, #6, #8 or #13.
