Do you really think this is the issue that the election turned on? That somehow the state that went for Kerry 2 years ago has suddenly embraced this issue as you define it, to the exclusion of everything else?

I don't think so, and if you do, you're an extremely poor political prognosticator, and you're going to be bitterly disappointed in the short-term political battles that are in the offing.

I never suggested that the election turned on this issue. But YOU and others have said that a pro-life candidate couldn't win in Massachusetts and I demonstrated that this IS NOT TRUE.

You are right, Kerry won, Kennedy always won, etc,; however, consider this, they NEVER made abortion an issue. They always made some sort of "personally opposed, but" statement and then changed the subject.

How then was this election different? As she continued to slide in the polls Coakley got desperate and she DID make abortion an issue and she LOST.

Life is not an “issue”.

“We hold these truths to be self-evident that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable RIGHTS, that among these are LIFE....

Life is a right. The ultimate right.

And Brown believes in trading rights.
