The Rattled State of Democrats
NY Times ^ | 02/13/2010 | CARL HULSE

It was a telling glimpse into the state of mind of rattled Senate Democrats.

Worried that they were going to be skewered for pushing a jobs bill that was stuffed with business tax breaks and pork, Senator Harry Reid, the majority leader, pulled the plug Thursday on a rare bipartisan proposal, gambling both with the party’s best chance of posting a needed legislative win as well as with President Obama’s new push for cross-party cooperation.

LOL. I would like to see a poll...”If the Presidential election were held today” I bet barry would lose in a landslide...

With his losing streak I don’t think zero could win an election for class president of a high school...LOL

conflicting signals . . . about the state of relations between the two parties and America.

What's in store for us as a Nation? I remote-viewed a future book to find out.

". . . some key [events] exacerbated the national debate, fraying trust, and national cohesion just a little more each time . . . The two-party system that had governed America . . . begin to fall apart . . . interest in politics took the place of all other forms of news-related entertainment . . . politicians were the celebrities . . . [Democrats accused Republicans of wanting to kill the new president] . . . [Politics/ideology] was becoming such a habit, the reactions so automatic, that [journalists] taking sides on every news story became inevitable."

.. no wait! My mistake I just learned that this is from for Love & Liberty by Robin Young and it's about 1857 America at the start of the administration of James Buchanan. My mistake.

But while I'm at it.. what the hell.

"[T]o placate the Southern wing of his party Buchanan passed over some of his powerful Northern political supporters and allies who had expected to receive cabinet appointments, appointing instead a majority of slaveholders, he essentially surrounded himself with a majority of men who had no stake in the Union."

or the Obama version..

"[T]o placate the ultra-left wing of his party Obama passed over some of his powerful moderate to conservative supporters and allies some of whom expected presidential appointments, appointing instead a majority of blame-America-firsters, he essentially surrounded himself with a majority of men and women who had no stake in the United States of America (at least as She had been for 200+ years)."

Conservatives did a good job on naming a spade a spade and a political whore a whore in derailing the death care bill. That was being on target as it really angered the public.

If Reid’s clever little trick turned out to be an exercise in foot-shooting, that would be the icing on the cake.

The Democrats and a lot of RINO’s need to be rattled. Why? When common people like me are opening their wallets for candidates who represent other districts/states then politics as usual has become very unusual!

If the election were held today, I think Barry would be left holding a pink slip while the security person watched him filling his cardboard box with the contents of his desk before escorting him to the back gate of the White House.

November 2010 is shaping up to be a major turning point if enough good candidates stand for office and can communicate what they stand for. The Dems are rattled today in about nine months they are also going to be unemployed.

I believe there have been some polls. If memory serves, he barely defeats Palin, and loses to a generic republican...but I could be wrong on that, memory is a bit shaky on it.

Ohaha's Chicago WH mob can't seem to hide their elitist contempt for Americans. These thugs actually think we don't understand what calculating manipulators they are. Buncha jerks.

Pubbies better NOT help them out. Pubs capitulate to Dims at their political risk.

LOL. This about sums it up.

How pissed are you if you are a Democrat? Obama lost Teddy's seat.

There was talk that the WH would not even give Coakley money to take a poll---which would have showed she was losing.

The WH's lack of political savvy was glaringly on display in MA----and in the NJ gubernatorial campaign---that the WH micromanaged in detail. The NY Times reported that in NJ:
(a) every TV ad the Dem put on the air was being screened by Obama's WH team.
(b) incumbent Corzine's aides gave the WH daily briefings.
(c) Obama’s pollsters took over for Corzine’s polling team.
(d) White House operatives were on the ground for internal strategy sessions.
(e) White House operatives were orchestrating secret pep rallies with Latinos to get the huge illegal vote.
(g) Ohaha campaigned in NJ three times, Biden twice. Ohaha TV ads ran relentlessly in costly NY media markets.

WH know-it-alls had Ohaha and Biden campaigning incessantly----Ohaha only went to MA once but that was enough to lose the race.

A race considered a "squeaker" was declared for the NJ Pubbie 2 hours after the polls closed. Coakley conceded 45 min after they closed.

NOT GOING DOWN WELL According to Ohaha's slimy Press Secretary, Robert Gibbs, Ohaha was "busy with other matters" election night and "wasn't really concerned" with NJ's election results... an indication the WH was sucking up valium and vodka in order to anesthetize themselves from the aftermath.....trying to convince themselves the election was not a referendum on Obama.

=============================================

Democrats' Arrogance and Sneers At Townhalls Precipitated Their Downfall.

"It was only a year ago that DC liberal elites were shoveling dirt on conservatism. James Carville was writing boastful books about 40 years of Democrat dominance, boasting that he could call "time of death" on the Republican Party. Liberals believed their own hype that Obama would be the black FDR. Obama's hot-air balloon has crashed to Earth........."

Conservatism is back with a swagger.

Dims are dropping like flies sprayed with bug killer.

Yes, Buchanan. Unanimous choice as one of the worst presidents.. another resemblance! We could be in deep doo-doo.

While I was remote viewing Buchanan appeared. He told me he wished he'd thought of those czars.

"I could have czarred and fettered those Northerners," he said. "Get it? You see czar sounds like.."

"I know, I know," I said.
