Yikes, 18-zip in hockey. Don’t they have a mercy rule? Could they maybe have brought out their second string after it got to be 6-0? Nonetheless, go North American hockey!

No mercy rule in hockey. Just blow-outs. Girls and skates...woo hooo!

Do you have a ping list for this? I keep looking for an Oly thread and can never find them. Do we get to complain about the coverage? Or ask if it’s ok to laugh when the Koreans wiped each other out? the looks on their faces were like “Dude, wtf??”

Oh, back to original question: if you do have a ping list, will you please add me? TIA

Si-bak Sung and Ho-suk Lee didn’t just fall. They wiped each other out and gave the two Americans medals.

>>Do we get to complain about the coverage? <<

I’ll start.
I want to see the Americans. The other country’s athletes should be time fillers. Show me any American who medals. Show me the ceremonies. I want to see our flag even if it’s in third place, so I can cry and cheer. OUR athletes worked so hard. Let us be proud.

We are close enough to Windsor to get CBC. Guess who we see there. THE CANADIANS!!! Just as it should be. We deserve to see our athletes. I was called a Xenophobe for this opinion. I don’t care.

I can’t believe I’m two hours away from Vancouver, in the same time zone, and we have to watch it on tape delay. Heaven forbid the Olympics should interrupt NBC’s precious prime time lineup.

Sorry-I like to see all the superior athletes performing their feats and love to cheer whomever does the best. Did you see those Dutch fans-dressed in bright orange cheering on anyone who does well in speed skating like Shaunie Davis, a handsome African American skater. They love him because he loves the sport.

Question of the day:

When MSNBC show Finland play Russia in Women’s Hockey later today will they get ratings better than Olbermann and Maddow?

In Olympic hockey you run up the score whenever possible because in the event of a tie in the win-loss record, the goal count decides the standings.

We are close enough to Windsor to get CBC.

You mean CTV don't you? The goverment channel isn't covering the Olympics.

I’ve been doing pretty much nothing but complaining about the coverage.

The sad part is, if the Koreans hadn’t canceled each other out, Ohno wouldn’t have medaled. :/

We’re doing a good job of running up the score on this one.
