Three large corporations are quitting the U.S. Climate Action Partnership, a broad group of businesses and environmental organizations that has been instrumental in building support in Washington for capping U.S. emissions of greenhouse gases.
Oil giants BP PLC and ConocoPhillips along with Caterpillar, Inc., the Peoria, Ill., heavy-equipment maker, have decided against renewing their membership in the organization, according to a statement released by the group Tuesday.

IMO....of course.
Ping.
This is a good thing.
Totally agree!
Hypocrites to ever have been in it. Yes, I know that they were blackmailed by the left into being hypocrites . . . but that just makes them cowardly hypocrites.
They could have stood strong and said “See” after the truth came out and they would have done the world some good and benefited themselves as well. The truth will out and all that.
“Um...you know, give us a call when Dr. Jones gets his notes organized. Thanks.”
Only an ignorant moron is still signing on to the “climate change” hoax and scam. It’s over. Even Algore, the mighty creator of Heaven and Earth, as well as the internet, has said that “things are worse than he thought” (Commie ‘RATS have been saying that a lot lately).
Follow the money ... it’s bailing this scam.
Now they think they can keep the money because "globull warming/climate chains" is rightly falling apart, and they don't have to end up like GM.
These bastards will never be on the side of truth and free enterprise, they are nearly as bad as the watermelon Marxists themselves.
How that global warming thing workin’ out for ya?
I dunno...fer sure.
WOOOOOHOOOOOO! Enablers of anti-truth collectivists take note.
Uh oh, the extortion money will no longer be forthcoming, tsk, tsk. I feel so bad, just think of the econazis who are going to be losing a huge paycheck who will have to find a real job.
I think there are some real good folks in leadership in all three of these companies..
That said, they are in business to make money.
And that sort of trumps everything else...They make money they stay in business. They don't and they cease to exist, eventually.
I'm sure most folks realize...that Corp's like COP...have made thousands of people very, very wealthy.
Thanks for your service...BTW.
FRegards,
I thought that the President of ConocoPhillips was killed in an avalanche yesterday. But I see that it was the president of their Alaska division.
Still somewhat ironic.

I've a friend who has a daughter that is married to an exec in AK...He may now be in line for that job....although he's quite a bit younger. He's been being groomed for awhile now....
Too bad, they should be in business to EARN money and create wealth. The government makes money by putting bigger motors on the printing presses.
I know what you meant to say, but there are only two ways to acquire wealth, earn/create it, or steal it.
Government always must use the latter and any business that co operates with government operation of that business, dooms their culture and economic system to a downward spiral of theft into poverty.
Those properly managed businesses that fight, doom their culture to a lifetime of work, productivity, upward mobility and adequate retirement.
And why do you suppose that companies like COP..have not fought? And aren't continuing to fight?
The fight may not be exactly what we want..but it's certainly there nevertheless.
I see it as a boxing match..much bobbing and weaving...and the occasional jab and uppercut.
I think in today's environment...it's wise as a business..to be wary of what you say, and how you say it...and it's also wise to make sure of what you do.
Not saying I agree with that...but it is what it is.
Thanks-
Excellent, time to stop these lies. I want to see heads roll.
THE BIG LIE IS GOING DOWN!
It’s not the job of a big corporate executive to make the POTUS angry with his company. So, as you say, they have to pick their fights. The fact that they are pulling out now suggests that they think it’s something they can get away with.
Because I’m sure Obama’s original plan was to crush all of the energy companies (users and producers) with huge taxes, and then buy them back with the other hand, making them totally dependent on him. If you don’t go along with the plan, you don’t get bought back.
Same thing with big pharma. Screw them, but buy them off at the same time.
It’s actually quite encouraging that these big oil companies think it’s safe to come out openly in opposition now.
