20 years ago after killing her brother, she ALSO tried to carjack a passing motorist, and when that didn’t work, she ran to a nearby car repair place and leveled the shotgun at the chest of a mechanic, demanding a get-away car.

A big-time liberal congressman (who was DA at the time) let her off.

We need 2b looking at the connections between her parents and the local big-shots —STINKS TO HIGH HEAVEN.

Totally ineffective tactic on mechanics , they are so used to this . Especially automatic transmission guys .

The professor allegedly held up a Massachusetts car dealership with a shotgun after she shot her brother 24 years ago. ABC also has a story painting Bishop as a woman with a past filled with confrontation and anger.

From the ABC piece:

Accused Alabama shooter Amy Bishop screamed and cursed at children, instigating confrontations with their parents, according to former neighbors who painted a frightening portrait of an woman accused of a killing rampage.

Former Massachusetts neighbors described the brilliant scientist as a woman who 15 years ago had “face-to-face, nose-to-nose confrontations” over evening basketball games, skateboarders and even whether an ice cream truck would be allowed on the child-friendly street.

Ex-chief now questions ‘86 Bishop shooting probe

Authorities released her and said the episode was a tragic accident. She was never charged. The Norfolk County district attorney at the time was William Delahunt, now a Democratic congressman from Massachusetts.

An auto mechanic who worked at a dealership near Bishop’s home in 1986 told The Boston Globe that Bishop ran in after shooting her brother, waved a gun and demanded a getaway car.

Tom Pettigrew, 45, recalled that Bishop said she had had a fight with her husband and he was going to come after her, so she needed to flee. Pettigrew said Braintree police briefly questioned him and several other employees, but authorities never contacted him again.
