Maybe that’s why he quit. Maybe he would have lost, or maybe he would have won.
But I’m sure there are a few Democrats whose arms got twisted to death to vote for this bad legislation, and were not comfortable with it. However, if they say so, the nutroots come after them. Heck, you can’t even contribute to a candidate without these creepy types coming after you and your business - witness California. That was never the way this country was intended to work.
The founders intended that people of statesmenship would get into office and vote what was best for the country. I would have hated to be a Democrat lawmaker this year who was a non frothing at the mouth lib.
That is why my favorite president is George Washington.

The message would have carried some merit had he voted against 0bama’s partisan bills. Instead he voted yea, and now is high-tailing it out of dodge.
