Sky News presenter Kay Burley was forced to make an on-air apology today after mistaking a tribute to Ash Wednesday on American vice president Joe Biden’s forehead for a ‘large bruise’.

The controversial Miss Burley, 49, made the comments during a conversation with the news channel’s U.S. correspondent, Greg Milam.

When made aware of her ignorance during a commercial break, Miss Burley then compounded her insulting words by saying: ‘I’ve said three Hail Marys, everything is going to be fine.’

Biden is so deep into Saturn worship (the dead baby thing) there’s all sorts of Christian brands he couldn’t be.

Ash Wednesday,1989 I went to 7:00 AM Mass in Hastings On Hudson, NY.
From there I went to my meeting at Perini Corp. around the corner, a well meaning fellow said “ hold on, you have something on your forehead”, and promptly removed the Ashes.
I explained what they represented, he was very upset and sorry, I told him, don't worry about it.
At lunch time I went back mass at the same church, receiving Ashes the same Priest said “someone wiped the “smudge” off” and winked, not the first time and won't be the last.

Ash Wednesday is not exclusively a Roman Catholic ritual. The United Methodist Church and several other major protestant denominations are having Ash Wednesday services today.

Yeah...it takes me a second. I always think they’ve suffered some sort of injury and feel bad for them (”Awww....poor woman/man”) until I realize what it is.

Yes, United Meth. do observe Ash Wed. now. I had one prepared for this evening and we got snowed out......again. Can’t get up the hill to the church. So...We’re going to observe Ash Wed. on Sunday. I don’t think God will mind, and it will be a chance for some to experience and learn about Ash Wed. who have never come to those services.
