BEIJING An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 6.8 struck Thursday morning in the region where China, Russia and North Korea meet, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
The temblor hit about 9:15 a.m., and office towers in Beijing swayed slightly for about a minute.

If it was a nuke test, it would be quite an achievement for North Korea to drill a hole 350 miles into the mantle to place a fairly high-yield thermonuclear device.
