Seems to me I recall Limbaugh was fine with Santorum endorsing Specter over Toomey. Didn’t understand that, either.

I seem to remember Rush supporting Specter over Toomey, too. IIRC, it was because he didn’t think Toomey had a snowball’s chance in hell of winning in Pennsylvania at the time, and Specter had a better chance of keeping that seat in the R column. This was mainly because of the narrow margin between R’s and D’s in the Senate at the time, and if Specter won, he would help keep the Senate in the R column, even if Specter was a RINO.

But I may be wrong. Anyone else remember exactly what he said?
