If another conservative comes along who is better, I'll switch. I keep asking people who it is that's going to appear, and so far there just isn't an answer.

The most likely field: Pawlenty, Huckabee, Romney, Palin. Dark horses: DeMint (a senator who probably won't run), Barbour, Jindal. 1%ers: RonPaul, Keyes, Hunter (and a few other nut jobs).

The governors of New Jersey and Virginia may be great candidates in 2016, but they're not going to run yet. If anyone can remind me of another realistic candidate I've forgotten, please add to this list.

Our problem in 2008 is that we really didn't have much of a choice. Either a person with a closer alignment to our views, but completely unelectable, or an electable candidate who had many flaws.

I am praying (literally) that God will bring forth someone who will be the righteous leader we need right now; one who is fiscally hardline conservative, morally solid, strong on national defense and in support of our military.........in other words, someone who is perfect. ;)

What I do know is that God has led this nation in the past, and in the last year I have sense that He hasn't given up on us yet, and that is my hope.
