Quick is a french fast-food restaurant chain similar to McDonald's, Wendy's, and Burger King. Since 2007 it has been owned by the French investment firm CDC Capital Investissement.
The chain was first established in 1971 in Schoten, Belgium, and as of December 31, 2004 operated over 400 restaurants in France, Belgium, Egypt, Algeria, Morocco, Dubai, Andorra, Luxembourg, Spain and Russia. 72% of these restaurants were operated on a franchise basis.
Is halal the same as kosher?
Actually, I’m not surprised by this, what surprises me is:
(a) France has fast-food restaurants. I thought that it was a dirty American thing.
(b) It has an English name.
You know, real Muslims can perfectly well order something off of the menu without bacon. There isn’t the strictness of a halal kitchen that has a parallel with some very strict kosher rules.
This is about asserting power over the dominant population.
The burgers at Quick are okay. Just don’t drink the milkshakes! Blech!!!
Is there any point at which you will actually try to fight this?
They can pry my McRib out of my cold dead fingers....
Unfortunately, practicing Catholics comprise only 11% of the French population these days, and they are shrinking, so any "Catholic Activist Group" will be a blip on the radar. Muslims, however are from 7-10% of the population, and their numbers are growing.
Time for SECULAR France to go Jacobins on the Muslims.
Soon it’ll be time for the Muslim community to insist that French men sit down to pee.
