Is there a public database of house/senate resolutions & who voted for them? I’d love to tie your bullet items to legislation to incumbents.
I’d love to get rid of Murray here in Washington state.
In my district we’re returning a former congressman to office.
“Im definitely voting to REELECT Scott Garrett NJ-5. Good behavior should be rewarded.”
The KEEP list will the shorter list!
Sotomayor?
I’ll confess I wasn’t paying lots of attention during those hearings, but I recall the criticisms against her weren’t deal-breakers, and most of the opposition to her came from what the news media was saying rather than what she was saying. Also I seem to recall hearing that SCOTUS voting record hasn’t turned out to be as liberal as we thought it might be.
Barbara Boxer!
Nostril-Dumass Waxman
Only in cases where the alternative is exponentially worse!
I agree but we have to be careful. The extreme left will not be voted out. If we are not careful Reid will still be the head of the Senate.
I agree the keep list will be short.
I will vote to keep Tom Price (R-GA6). Has voted consistently conservative, has been outspoken against many issues including TARP, stimulus, smaller government, and Obamacare just to name a few.
I saw him at one of the first teaparty events last year and the first thing he said was that he knew that this was THEIR party, the people’s grassroots effort, not the politicians. And his whole speech was a pep rally for the people to take back their country. Excellent. I still get teary thinking about it.
Toward FREEDOM
The gals from Maine.
Ooh, good idea. Here’s another exception: my Congressman, Trent Franks, Arizona Second District. He’s a definite keeper.
All of them ... out. Every last one of them.
The whole philosophy of “they all suck except my guy” is part of what got us into this mess. There might be a few worth saving but we can’t afford to make any mistakes. (Besides, we need to educate our lesser-informed brethren in time for this election and preaching “no incumbents” is easier.)
If “your guy” is so good, tell him to sit out a term and you’ll put him back in two more years. Maybe.
So that’s the game plan, at least for me. Start with the baseline of “no incumbents” then closely scrutinize the rest of the field. But no incumbents.
None. Clean sweep.
Sorry. I WILL vote for my senator, Jim DeMint. His philosophy and mine are virtually identical. No one better will come along. He passes the litmus test in post #3 above with flying colors. Why shouldn’t I vote for him?
