Pakistan will not turn over the Afghan Taliban's No. 2 leader and two other high-value militants captured this month to the United States, but may deport them to Afghanistan, a senior minister said Friday.

Interior Minister Rahman Malik said Pakistani authorities were still questioning Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, the most senior Taliban figure arrested since the start of the Afghan war in 2001, and two other senior militants arrested with U.S. assistance in separate operations this month.

If it is determined that the militants have not committed any crimes in Pakistan, they will not remain in the country, he said.

"First we will see whether they have violated any law," Malik told reporters in Islamabad. "If they have done it, then the law will take its own course against them.

The Pakis don't want the U.S. to interrogate these terrorists because the results would show that the Pakis have been in bed with the Taliban all along!

He is to be deported to Afghanistan. don’t you think they can do the job?

If he committed no crime in Pakistan, deportation seems to be the correct course. After deportation, the rubber hoses can come out and interrogation conducted.

Who knows? Zero can’t be bothered with mundane foreign policy details. The Washington freak show was stumping in Denver yesterday for Michael Bennet who doesn’t stand a chance of getting re-elected. Gotta get your priorities straight, doncha know. Michael Bennet is Martha Coakley all over again. Heh.

Let Karzai's people interrogate them.

I’d rather see Afghanistan and Pakistan interrogate them. Their governments don’t get up in arms about splashing a little water on them. What would we do with them except give them a lawyer and send them to New York for trial. I think it’s best that Pakistan or Afghanistan have these scumbags at this point in time.

I have a very simple theory: We don't want him and we have told the Pakistan authorities to keep him.

As long as he is being interrogated by the Paki's then nobody from the CIA is going to have to worry about going to jail someday. Nobody in New York is going to have to worry about paying for security for a trial someday. And nobody in the Justice Department will ever be accused of foolishly reading this guy his Miranda rights. It's a win, win, win for Obama.

I agree that it is the case now that we don't really want him but the reason we don't want him is because Obama, plain and simple.

On the contrary we begged the Paki’s to keep them out of the US.

Holder has enough trouble with the terrorists we already have on US soil.

And in other Paki news...there was a prison breakout today with yet unknown perps making a clean getaway. Pakistani officials believe that it was an inside job.

the Pakis and I don’t want the enemy given over to the Obama/Holder duo to have American citizen rights read and a court appointed attorney. IMO

Wwe don’t want to interrogate them because our rules prohibit any meaningful interrogation. We would have to read them their Miranda Rights and see if they wanted any room service.
