Wrong target, wrong method: Dave Welch decries Joe Stack attack, emphasizes mega-power of IRS

There are some fundamental differences in the motivation between the act of domestic terrorism committed by Joseph Stack on Feb. 18 as he flew his single-engine plane into the IRS building in Austin, Texas, and the act of religious terrorism and war committed by Islamic terrorists on Sept. 11, 2001 – but there are also underlying similarities: Both had a pathological hatred of an enemy power that drove them to use their body and an airplane as lethal weapons against that power;

Both were willing to take many innocent lives in their cause;

Both were driven to demonic insanity that is one of the results of embracing destructive belief systems.

Liberals: Goebbels Я Us

The Keith Olbermann-sounding left-wing nutjob who flew his plane into a seven-story building in Austin wrote a "manifesto" that sounded as if he was applying for a gig with Timothy Geithner at Treasury. Both had a problem paying their taxes. (To be fair, Geither's boss Obama can't balance a checkbook. Obama and Joe Stack blame Bush.)

Amy Bishop, Joe Stack -- what is it with leftists and mass murder these days?

The "manifesto" is so insane, Bill Ayers would have backed Joe Stack for a teaching position. Ayers and Stack appeared to share so many lovely things in common -- especially blowing up government buildings.

Speaking of things in common, given how much leftists and Islamists agree that America, capitalism, Christianity and "puppet GW Bush and his cronies" suck, it was only a matter of time before leftists flew planes into buildings.

In his suicide note, Stack railed against America, the capitalist system, the rich, America, corporations, Arthur Andersen, America, Reagan's 1986 tax reform act and "the joke we call the American medical system, including the drug and insurance companies [all of which] are murdering tens of thousands of people a year and stealing from the corpses and victims they cripple." Stack also complained that Congress has "endless time to sit around . . . year after year and debate the 'terrible health care problem' [when] it's clear they see no crisis in [our health care system] so long as corporate profits [keep] rolling in." Stack railed about the lack of government-run health care. Given the anti-Bush, anti-capitalism, anti-Christian, pro-communist rantings in his suicide note, the media concluded he was a Tea Partier. His plane's fuel tank was filled with tea!

They arrived at this bogus conclusion by helpfully redacting huge chunks of his lunatic diatribe -- where he sounds remarkably like Keith Olbermann -- and selectively quoting the parts where he's just another lumpy deadbeat trying to scam the tax system and evade taxes -- in other words, like your typical liberal.

Newsweek's David Graham claimed that left-winger Joe Stack was clearly a right-winger because -- although Stack was fond of quoting ol' Karl Marx's dictum ("From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs") -- he didn't like paying taxes, which outweighs his pro-communist mindset. Joe just had to go and spoil it all by saying something stupid like, 'I love not paying taxes.'

Say, have you noticed something missing in all the hypocritical fair and balanced liberal media coverage this time? The absence of the word "alleged"! File this under, If Joe Stack were named Yusef Mohammed, here's how this news story would read:

A peace-loving software engineer, obviously frustrated with IRS favoritism toward the Catholic Church and the ignored crimes of fascist George W. Bush and his cronies, allegedly crashed an alleged single-engine plane, allegedly belonging to the alleged suspect, into an alleged seven-story building allegedly housing several hundred alleged IRS employees busily writing tax regulations favorable toward the Catholic Church. The suspect allegedly set fire to his home before allegedly crashing his plane.

President Obama cautioned Americans not to jump to any conclusions regarding the suspect's motives, adding that his well-written, inspiring and uplifting manifesto should not be interpreted as advocating violence, for Islam promotes peace, love, piety and justice. Oh, and diversity.

Experts on software engineers are firmly convinced that the suspect, Yusef Mohammed, may have finally snapped from something called 'pre-traumatic stress syndrome' -- in Mohammed's case, unbearable stress prior to his successful combat mission in downtown Austin. Not to mention the agonizing suffering and stress he endured under Reagan's 1986 tax reform act.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) called on security personnel at small airports to avoid profiling, which can lead to a climate of fear and suspicion, and strongly urged against adding software engineers to the government's no-fly list. In Miami, a pilot was removed from his small plane and questioned by the FBI after security personnel overheard him speaking on his cellphone in a "foreign language," or "software engineer jargon."

Anyway, that's...
My Two Cents...

Exactly what I have been wondering the last few days. Somehow I am beginning to think that liberal cognitive dissonance is a moth crashing into the reality of a windshield.

Well written and insightful, like your other writings!

I have also hung my head and wondered about this form of madness called Liberalism. Many times.

And I too have no answer.
