What is lost on people like you’re talking about (they pay a fee so we should too attitude) is that everytime you service a well to either repair/replace something it will be about $1,500 average.

I’ve pulled this well twice in 25 yrs., keep in mind I’m 450 ft. deep, replaced all tubing and wire and pump on one job, just pump and wire on another (lightning strike) and it was about 2,500 bucks on the “big one”.

And so the water district is going to conserve water for us by taxing, oh yeah, right. But they now have an office and a secretary, golly gee... I suggested exactly what you said about replacement on their dime every 10 yrs....umm-hmmmm.

The pulling the pump is very fresh in my mind at this time cause we just did it about 5 months ago, and yes this time we had to replace all the pipe going down and it was about as far as what you had to put in when you did so....plus we lowered the thing. So we should be good to go for quite a few years now.
