Oh come on. With the fed telling us all how much money there is, and thereby setting the value of our money, do you not think they’re in charge already? It doesn’t take a Ph.D. in Economics to see that a gov’t collusion with a central bank that can just print money is a really bad idea. How are they going to cover the deficit in the tax income with they’re social spending? By printing money of course! If there are polar opposites on this earth its a central bank and a free market. Michelle Bachmann was one of the first on board with RP’s Audit the Fed bill. Is she a “kook”?

If you knew anything about the history of the Fed, you’d know that the “progressives” loved the whole notion of the Federal Reserve and hated any tie of the dollar to hard currency - specifically because it thwarted their dreams of a European-model welfare state.
