The President's Proposal: Health Care Plan (oh boy here we go!)
WhiteHouse.gov ^ | Monday February 22, 2010

Posted on 02/22/2010 7:30:55 AM PST by Bigtigermike

The President’s Proposal puts American families and small business owners in control of their own health care.

* It makes insurance more affordable by providing the largest middle class tax cut for health care in history, reducing premium costs for tens of millions of families and small business owners who are priced out of coverage today. This helps over 31 million Americans afford health care who do not get it today – and makes coverage more affordable for many more.

* It sets up a new competitive health insurance market giving tens of millions of Americans the exact same insurance choices that members of Congress will have.

* It brings greater accountability to health care by laying out commonsense rules of the road to keep premiums down and prevent insurance industry abuses and denial of care.

* It will end discrimination against Americans with pre-existing conditions.

* It puts our budget and economy on a more stable path by reducing the deficit by $100 billion over the next ten years – and about $1 trillion over the second decade – by cutting government overspending and reining in waste, fraud and abuse.

The President’s Proposal bridges the gap between the House and Senate bills and includes new provisions to crack down on waste, fraud and abuse.

* Eliminating the Nebraska FMAP provision and providing significant additional Federal financing to all States for the expansion of Medicaid;

* Closing the Medicare prescription drug “donut hole” coverage gap;

* Strengthening the Senate bill’s provisions that make insurance affordable for individuals and families;

* Strengthening the provisions to fight fraud, waste, and abuse in Medicare and Medicaid;

* Increasing the threshold for the excise tax on the most expensive health plans from $23,000 for a family plan to $27,500 and starting it in 2018 for all plans;

* Improving insurance protections for consumers and creating a new Health Insurance Rate Authority to provide Federal assistance and oversight to States in conducting reviews of unreasonable rate increases and other unfair practices of insurance plans.

The upside is that when this country finally crashes and burns, the Patriots are gonna do a Texas butt kicking on all the Leftard scum in this country.

EXACTLY!

The destruction of the U.S. economy has been Obama’s plan from day one! The man is a traitor to his country..Like Lenin, Hitler, Mussolini, Mao, Castro and Chavez were all traitors of their respective countries.

So when do we have that revolution and do a little “reset” Patriot-Style?

My friend the imprisonment of Obama is the BEST outcome for him when the Patriot Party overthrows this Weimar Republic of ours and does a major RESET on all the Leftard traitors.

Thanks for the picture of Obama behind bars!

I agree with you, my friend.

It will take a civil war for the Leftards to be kicked out of office, although I think we Patriots should give elections and the legal process one last try to resolve the issue.

But if peaceful means do not work to remove the Leftards from ALL positions of importance in Government, Media and Academia, I say:

“CRY HAVOC, AND LET SLIP THE DOGS OF WAR!

>> The progressives are in full control <<

As Rush noted today on his program, we shouldn’t call these people “progressives.”

That’s what they WANT to be called, in order to avoid poisonous terms like “liberals” and “leftists” and “socialists,” descriptions that surely will lose them votes from the American public.

So please call ‘em leftists, liberals, socialists, utopian fascists — anything but “progressive.”

It’s going to get worse...The USA is headed for civil war.

I mean BLOODY 1861 to 1865 type civil war!

Interestingly, the battle lines are pretty much the same: A Democrat Party that favors slavery (socialism is SLAVERY) and a Republican Party that stands for liberty.

"end discrimination against Americans with pre-existing conditions"

All by itself, this destroys the insurance market. This clause alone forces Government Monopoly on healthcare.

It is as if you do everything you can to avoid auto insurance until after the crash, then you buy insurance only for what damage you caused.

Insurance companies are there to insure against PROSPECTIVE risks, not RETROSPECTIVE acts.

The only way to still have "insurance" is to FORCE everyone to buy insurance.

If the government can FORCE people into economic transactions against their will, how is that different than slavery? Can they force 100% of your income to be spent exactly as they wish? At the company store? What degree of freedom exists if the Government can FORCE all of your money to be spent as they see fit? There is no legitimate difference between healthcare and food, clothing, shelter, etc.

"Isn't it convenient that Anthem Blue Cross proposes a 37% increase in premiums three days ago, just so Obama can slap them down, and come out with his revised plan today. I'm telling you somehow someway there was collusion between the two parties."

Exactly. The moment that hit the news I was suspicious of the err...rather too auspicious timing.

Tennessee has joined several other states in trying to pass a Health Care Freedom Act. NO COLAs for granny, retired Military or retired fed employees. BIG NEW fees for Tricare for Life retired over 65 Military's secondary health ins. (DOD bill already passed, delayed but goes into effect 2011)

Obama says slight fix will extend Social Security

TRI CARE FOR LIFE This from a google search:

http://economicspolitics.blogspot.com/2009/05/tricare-for-life-is-obama-trying-to.html

This option would help reduce the costs of TFL, as well as costs for Medicare, by introducing minimum out-of pocket requirements for beneficiaries. Under this option, TFL would not cover any of the first $525 of an enrollee’s cost-sharing liabilities for calendar year 2011 and would limit coverage to 50 percent of the next $4,725 in Medicare cost sharing that the beneficiary incurred. (Because all further cost sharing would be covered by TFL, enrollees could not pay more than $2,888 in cost sharing in that year.)

Congress plans to block Tricare fee increases
http://www.armytimes.com/news/2009/10/military_tricarefees_blocked_100709w

By Rick Maze - Staff writer, Oct 7, 2009

Tricare fee increases imposed last week by the Defense Department will be repealed by a provision of the compromise 2010 defense authorization bill unveiled Wednesday by House and Senate negotiators.

Snip

The fee increases were announced on Sept. 30 and took effect on Oct. 1, but the defense bill, HR 2647, includes a provision barring any fee increases until the start of fiscal 2011.

Snip

Retired Army Maj. Gen. Bill Matz, president of the National Association for Uniformed Services, said the announcement of fee increases was shocking considering that the Obama administration promised earlier this year to hold off on any new fee Tricare fee increases until fiscal 2011.

“President Obama and DoD assured NAUS and the entire military family earlier this year that there would rightly be no increases in any Tricare fees” in fiscal 2010, Matz said. “We took them at their word, and I can’t believe that a co-pay increase like this was allowed to go forward,” he added.

Yep, we know that around here. Do a search on google and see just how many of the Marxist are using “Progressive”. I found so many that I actually signed up for a couple to see what they are up to. I get really disgusting emails from them about their agenda. They are very hard at work to push it.
