WASHINGTON - Fifteen million Americans are unemployed and actively looking for work, and millions more have given up looking. Countless others are underemployed. Many working Americans worry whether they will have a job next month, and Americans who have health insurance fear they may lose it.

I called my state Pa senator’s office and asked them when they are going to challenge this infringement on states rights.

The big question for all politicians in 2010 ought to be "What are you going to do about wealth creation?"

Tips:
Squeezing more money from taxpayers does not create wealth.
Hiring more government employees does not create wealth.
Subsidizing unprofitable businesses does not create wealth (even if they're Green).
Regulating businesses does not create wealth.
Limiting choices in the marketplace does not create wealth.

Cheatsheet:
Reducing (that means: reducing) government spending creates wealth.
Less federal involvement in the economy creates wealth.

Americans who have health insurance fear they may lose it

If one has health insurance today, why would one suddenly lose it tomorrow? Even if one were laid off, there is a grace period. Sounds like msm spinning and scare tactics.

Does anyoneone think that the sharp increases in insurance rate this week is an incredible “cooincidence? It really looks fishy to me. Has anyone tries to match up the companies who had rate hikes with the companies that contributed to the Obama campaign / healthcare bill? just curious.

Hey obama, we Americans aren’t too stupid to understand obamacare. You don’t need to repeat yourself, don’t bother saying “let me be clear” - it is already crystal clear. No American wants your socialist, big government takeover of the healthcare industry. No American wants fascist control over their very lives and healthcare. In short, no American wants your lying backside any more involved in their lives than you already are. In fact obama, most Americans want you out of their lives.

Rename, repackage, rewrite it a tad smaller, and sell another pig in a poke.

Tennessee has joined several other states in trying to pass a Health Care Freedom Act. NO COLAs for granny, retired Military or retired fed employees. BIG NEW fees for Tricare for Life retired over 65 Military's secondary health ins. (DOD bill already passed, delayed but goes into effect 2011)

TRI CARE FOR LIFE This from a google search:

http://economicspolitics.blogspot.com/2009/05/tricare-for-life-is-obama-trying-to.html

This option would help reduce the costs of TFL, as well as costs for Medicare, by introducing minimum out-of pocket requirements for beneficiaries. Under this option, TFL would not cover any of the first $525 of an enrollee’s cost-sharing liabilities for calendar year 2011 and would limit coverage to 50 percent of the next $4,725 in Medicare cost sharing that the beneficiary incurred. (Because all further cost sharing would be covered by TFL, enrollees could not pay more than $2,888 in cost sharing in that year.)

Congress plans to block Tricare fee increases
http://www.armytimes.com/news/2009/10/military_tricarefees_blocked_100709w

By Rick Maze - Staff writer, Oct 7, 2009

Tricare fee increases imposed last week by the Defense Department will be repealed by a provision of the compromise 2010 defense authorization bill unveiled Wednesday by House and Senate negotiators.

Snip

The fee increases were announced on Sept. 30 and took effect on Oct. 1, but the defense bill, HR 2647, includes a provision barring any fee increases until the start of fiscal 2011.

Snip

Retired Army Maj. Gen. Bill Matz, president of the National Association for Uniformed Services, said the announcement of fee increases was shocking considering that the Obama administration promised earlier this year to hold off on any new fee Tricare fee increases until fiscal 2011.

“President Obama and DoD assured NAUS and the entire military family earlier this year that there would rightly be no increases in any Tricare fees” in fiscal 2010, Matz said. “We took them at their word, and I can’t believe that a co-pay increase like this was allowed to go forward,” he added.

Bambi doesn't keep his promises...so buyer beware.

He wants ALL the jobs to be government jobs. He’s really hell-bent on destroying America. I just hope the 3rd-party idiots will hold off long enough for a conservative Republican to take his office this next POTUS election. Then maybe there will be time for us to take out Iran before we have nothing left to fight them with. This is getting worse than Communist Russia at this point. Remember that Reagan won the cold war with economics as much as military build-up. It is however the position of the left to side with the communists and appease them at every turn. Now the Marxists are in power and that includes a lot of sitting Republicans. It’s going to get much much worse before it ever gets better for America, if it ever does. Keep your heat handy people.

Every thing this govt has done has killed jobs. Every week we get the usual “unexpectedly...” all while obama’s media crows that the recession is over. Now they are ramping up on killing more jobs and raising taxes on the ones left standing. Rush has made the statememt that the dims want to destroy this country the way it is currently constructed in order to remake it in their socialistic utopian vision. Two big problems there.
1. We are the economic engine of the world. Other countries can afford to play with marxism because the US would always prop them up when the game failed. The marxists wrecking the world’s economic foundation.
2. At some point in their plan, we will be a destroyed country. Then what? Nature does not tolerate a vacuum.
If this admin succeeds in their destructive plans, they will put themselves to be subservient to someone else. They may be in office, but they will have to report to a foreign power or be subject to extortion. These arrogant idiots are playing fast and loose with our national security with the belief that the stink will never hit them. Damn foolish and dangerous.

Heck - I would bet that a lot of the increases are due to medical facilities going out of their way to milk the insurance policies by doing more unnecessary and expensive diagnostics to help mitigate the losses due to those that free-load the system - Kalifornia just announced big increases and is a prime example.

When you are forced to spend money on those who can't/won't pay, you will come up with "creative" ways to close the gap.

.
The sheer size and cost of the program proposed by the president would inevitably lead to a larger share of the economy under government control and higher government spending. Taxes would rise, diminishing incentives to work, invest, and create jobs.

Indeed it’s a job killer. I have a friend who has a construction company that has been quite successful for decades until the Obama depression came along. He’s been downsizing it, but trying to hang onto to a core group of employees until things get better.

However, he said if Obamacare is enacted, he’ll go ahead and layoff all but 4 employees to avoid the fines required under the special employee threshold for construction companies slipped in by unions

Wonder how many other small construction companies will follow suit?

For that matter, I wonder how many other types of companies will decide not to grow beyond 50 employees for the same reason?

Not yet. The local office will pass along the info and I usually get a written letter about 1-2 weeks later. I have a good Senator who is very responsive.
