This article seems like a mindless distortion if not a blatant lie.

It is.

I’ve never had any particular admiration for Beck. He’s obnoxious, coarse, and somewhat simple.

And which other prominent conservative talk show host comes close to his ability to get the facts out about the revolutionary communists now running our country? Hannity misses about 90% of it. O'Reilly is a lost-cause complete idiot.

I think we can agree on this part:

- The question was fair
- Her answered sucked

Just beware that Beck spent the next 7 days demonizing her falsely on tv and radio:

- He positioned her as a “Total Government” candidate -— a complete lie

- She was on Mark Davis and said she thought the question was ridiculous and she laughed it off... Beck played answer #2 to the question instead of #1 to call her a liar... a complete fraudulent play

- Sarah Palin has made similar comments and Beck still loves her

- Her general platform of small govt is in total alignment with what Beck has been preaching for a year, yet he grabs on to one issue (and IMO one flubbed answer) and runs with it attempting to bury her (a state level candidate)

You have to ask yourself why he went to such lengths to demonize a state candidate, that is in 3rd place while losing 500,000 viewers?

I just hope people keep their eyes open and don’t just blindly follow Beck as we head into 2010 election. BTW, I was a major fan of his a week ago...

I don’t think the rose colored glasses are off. I think Beck is becoming enamored with fame and fortune. Rush had to fight this and one way was to get out of New York. It also helped that he was savagely attacked by the left and he knew early on he would never be anything more than a useful idiot no matter how much he agreed with them. Beck needs to get his head right with ball, and fast or he will never be trusted by either side.

To be honest with you, I am not certain how anyone would make a claim.

Here is how I judge (and you can use your own methods, of course):

A couple of weeks ago there was an exclusive sent to Pamela Geller on Atlas Shruggs...about Obama’s minions recruiting students to his so-called civilian army. (grrrr). The documents were snail mailed to her from a parent of a student; she had both the student and parent’s name and in fact the parent answered questions on her site. This was an event that happened over a weekend.

On either Monday or Tuesday of the next week, GB used the exact same information, including the documents snail mailed to Pamela Geller and he posted them on his TV show without any attribution at all. He showed the documents on his video wall. This left the distinct impression that he and his staff had uncovered them on their own. The viewers had no way of knowing that the parents and student involved got this news in the hands of Pamela Geller, NOT Glenn Beck.

This happened within the last three weeks.

He presents a lot of work as his own, and when it isn’t his, and I KNOW it isn’t, I’m bothered. I don’t know if the bloggers are going to be willing to take him down or not. He’s big now; they might decide to let him twist himself.

But if they decide to so, he’ll be right next to Obama:

“The Emperor has no clothes”

It’s not enough to be just “intelligent”. You also need to be honest, awake, and paying attention.

"Obviously he his hitting some raw nerves and stirring up a lot of jealousy."

Joining the global oligarchy in attempting to shove a ten trillion per year tax down the people's throats will tend to hit a few very raw nerves.

Jealuosy is not the word; it's OUTRAGE!

This thread, and most of the comments posted to it, are a metaphor for why conservatism has been unable to remain a dominant political force.

Absolutely right. There are those that seem intent on picking Beck apart, and even lies and obvious distortions are OK so long as it meets the need to tear him down.

yes I have seen him plagarize someone. Please scroll back on my comments, fella.

I don’t trust him. Perhaps down the road, but I don’t right now.

One suggestions though. Reduce the size of your graphs. I had to enlarge my window to the point that the writing is way too small to read, just to see the graph.

Sorry, I'll try shrinking them and then taking a screen shot.

Thanks for the feedback! It's difficult to anticipate how other computer systems will view things.

Amen, but I was referring to his critics.

But I also bet they're outraged that some one would bring it up.

I actually used that term because until I actually here more about it I could not be sure of the facts behind it. I know that WND can stretch the facts to fit their purpose at times. So if Farah is a supporter of Romney as some have said and Farah is hitting back for Becks criticism of Romney then I would tend to think it could be a hot piece.

I also agree with those that say Beck should never ever agree to sit down with the MSM for an interview. He has got to know they will be attempting to write a hit piece.

Mat 10:16 “Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.

Glen was not very wise to sit down for this interview, which does make me wonder about his ability to last. Rush has lasted far beyond anyones imagination when you consider the hits he has taken, but he too had to learn the hard way about the MSM.

Imagine all the talking heads that have come and gon e in the time Rush has dominated talk radio.

Most bashers here have never watched Beck extensively or listened to him.
Similar to the smears against Rush also, out of context.
