The fact that this idiot can still win an election erases any and all sympathy I have for the people living in this rotting town..
Barry is an “alley cat”. He’ll screw everyone he can find, physically, financially, morally (he has none).
This POS does have more than 9 lives. Back in 1970 I was helping a congressman’s office and their investigator who was looking into corruption and communism in the DC Teachers Union (Bill Simons, David Elsila, Charles Chang - all Detroit/Ypsilanti reds).
Fortunately for Barry, the congressman lost his reelection and the files were destroyed, because there was enough information there for a grand jury indictment on charges of financial fraud (his first wife went to jail for him) in his “poverty” programs; possibly illegal arms buying; and influence peddling/jobs scandals.
Then there was the reported situation(not by the mainstream media) that Barry beat his second wife, Elfie Barry, and she had to go to a hospital in Baltimore for hidden treatment. A friend of hers, and mine, saw her in the hospital there and learned the truth about the injuries, which had been reported as a fall. They separated and divorced not too long after that.
Reports that Barry cheated on all of his wives (at least three).
His Vice Mayor, old SNCC/IPS radical Ivanhoe Donaldson, went to jail for stealing upwards of $330-500,000 in poverty funds while in office.
The list just goes on and on. Cokehead, crook, adulterer, leftist. A typical DC politician.
Yes, Marion Barry, the Democratic Mayor For Life. Should have been the Democratic Mayor is Serving Life. Now that would be justice.
