PR stunt. I’m sure this will bring back all the indistrialization lost to China and Asia. And who wants to hire on when the threat of Vampire-Care hangs over every business and the enconomy?

It's tough to save a country that is drowning in debt when half of its inhabitants are so stupid that they'll ignore the flotation device and reach for the anvil.

Sad, isn't it?

Every day that passes I am more and more convinced this Country is going to go over the cliff, just a matter of when.

I don't see us being saved at the ballot box.

Government gives money to farmers for non-existent crops, non-existent education initiatives, non-existent union companies, slush funds for non-existent corporations, and now I can rehire people for non-existent jobs to boost a non-existent recovery.

Why not? And the Labor Department will pretend I rehired by coming up with a non-existent number.

"I don't see us being saved at the ballot box. "

Probably not. Prolonging the inevitable, perhaps. But, until America comes to grips with the looming entitlement crises, it's only a matter of time until we face complete financial ruin.

“So that tax cut will pay for the salary, and other costs of employing someone?

And if that person was even needed to begin with, why the hell would you need a tax cut in order for them to be hired? The business would have long ago done so!”

Folks, we have a WINNER !

Do they know how stupid this is? The only ones who will get those "highway" jobs are the illegals.

Guess they'll be laying off the rest of us so they can replace us and get the hiring credits.

Speaking of... have a girlfriend whose brother got nailed on I-20 in Atlanta a little while back. The pickup he was riding in was entering the exit lane when another pickup came across 4 lanes and struck his in the side. When both vehicles finally stopped tumbling, both were upside down. As her brother and his boss crawled out of theirs, they watched five illegals crawl out of the other-a VERY prominent highway contractor’s and run away in five different directions...

The brother spent 2 days in the hospital with a broken arm and went home with a cast. The contractor’s attorney’s were knocking on his front door the very next morning. Still in litigation, last I heard.

He needs to be suing the contractor. Seriously. He also needs to have someone undercover at the contractors worksites documenting the illegals.

The guy who owns my gym said “ What good does a $3000.00 tax break do me if it costs me $20,000 + to hire someone who is unemployed ?”

$3000 for each person you hire, but you have to pay $10K in health insurance and payroll taxes. Yeah, this is gonna work wonderfully..../sarc
