what does “in trust” mean for the layperson?

what about metals?

Anything that is a major asset should be in a family trust. This protects you against lawsuits, and in some cases, federal seisure. I am not a lawyer, so you need to check with one who specializes in this.

I don’t own any metals, as I have done much better with real estate, than gold investors have.
