A change to the funeral plans from the local Chamber of Commerce

On Tuesday, our communities learned that Lance Cpl. Matthias Numon Hanson, a young man from Larue County was tragically killed in Afghanistan. He served and gave the ultimate sacrifice of his life for the freedoms we hold so dear as Americans.

The body of Lance Cpl. Hanson will arrive at Godman Airfield, Fort Knox between 9:30AM & 10:00AM.

We have spoken with Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville in charge of the funeral procession. It appears the procession will travel down 31W South thru downtown Elizabethtown and follow Lincoln Parkway to bring home this young American hero.

We ask that you line up along the route to show our respect to him, his family, and his community.

Lance Cpl. Hanson, 20 years old, was killed in Afghanistan on Sunday!

May God Bless his life and his family during this difficult time.
