What IS a killer whale? It kills people or mammals? I mean, all fish kill other fish, so in that description they’d all be killers. Not being sarcastic, really what IS a killer whale?
Me thinks the fish is a democrat, and is now garnering special treatment in line with the Alabama Harvard professor
A giant dolphin.
A whale that cannot explain it's whereabouts on Oct 4, 2009 at about 10:30PM.
It’s a very large predator.
Killer whales are actually dolphins, which, like whales are mammals and not fish. Some whales (baleen) actually don’t have teeth and filter the water for small creatures. Whales and dolphins evolved from land animals that were likely vegetarians...
Ranking behind sperm whales, they are the world’s second largest carnivorous animal.
Because of their ferocity, and the fact they are strictly meat eaters. They can kill anything they chose to, even whales that are much larger than themselves. They often hunt in groups and there is no other sea creature that doesn't fear them. They're also known to kill and then not eat their kill.
From an internet Orca site:
"To the native Haida tribes of coastal British Columbia the animal is called skana, which translates to "killer demon; supernatural power." To the Aleut of Kodiak Island, Alaska it is polossatik, "the feared one."
