Does the USAF even fly the C-27?

The USAF used to fly the C-27A, which is the aircraft the Afghans are getting after refurbishment by Alenia.

The USAF is in the process of purchasing brand new C-27J aircraft, which have a common glass cockpit, and similar engines and 6 bladed propellers, as the C-130J.

Nice looking plane. Italian, I guess. I’d like to fly in one.
