wow, you’ve heard of Orange, Texas’ finest all the way out in California!! I met him once back in 1981 at his then-day-job. He was a respiratory therapist/technician at the local hospital. I didn’t know about Shirley when I met him. I heard about Shirley later because He had his routines on an answering machine that people would call from work. His dad was a computer guy at the plant where I work. There was an article in the paper about him not too long ago, I thot it said he was Methodist or something, not Jewish, but no matter. I suppose he could be gay but this is the first time I’ve actually heard that....he’s really great satire when you understand the local context.

Hyacinth is married to Richard Bucket, which she tries to make sound more posh by pronouncing it Bouquet. Her sisters are
all named for flowers, Rose, Violet and Daisy but they are not given last names in the series.
The series is Keeping Up Appearances.
