There was no Ura Hogg. Governor Jim Hogg had one daughter, Ima, who was a great leady — founded the Houston Symphony and was a noted American Antique collector who filled her home at Bayou Bedn with beautiful, authentic antiques and donated all of them for the public to enjoy. Ima Hogg was revered in Houston.
