This ought to make Republicans, particularly New York Congressman Pete King, happy. Mr. King, who's the ranking Republican on the Homeland Security Committee, has been trying for months to call Ms. Rogers before the committee, but the White House hasn't made her available, and naturally, Democrats have been reluctant to issue her a subpoena.
Mr. King even sent her a letter with 15 questions. "I take this very seriously," he told Good Morning America. Why all the seriousness about a White House party?
"[The Gatecrashers] could have been terrorists, they could have been psychopaths, they could have attacked the president, the vice president," Mr. King told me last month. "At those events there are sharp instruments, and if you're somebody who's skilled, you could lunge—I mean, they had their arm around Joe Biden. And also to be so close to the prime minister of India."

She was swanning around at all those big White House parties she organized rather than monitoring and supervising them. She had her fun. I’m sure she made numerous new business contacts for her Rolodex. She had her fun and now she’s gotta pay the price
She’s connected and will land on her feet. And she won’t be leaving DC, she’s in the big leagues now. The Congressional Black Caucus throws mad mad parties (was in the NY Times) so she has a job with them I’m sure
Scatter shooting while wondering how many dishes and/or mirrors she's going to break tonight... hopefully nothing in the White House gets destroyed with the destruction limited to what's in her own house.

Finally! This rude, gaffe-prone, vulgar opportunist was completely clueless about the duties of the social secretary. Social secretaries are staff members and are supposed to operate behind the scenes, becoming part of the woodwork during social functions. Instead this twit behaved as an invited guest or as the hostess during official occasions. She spent much of her time, posing for photos, securing invitations and perks for herself! She actually invited her own personal hairdresser to a White House dinner. Rogers and the First Thang have been BFs for years and both equally are incompetent and ill-suited for their respective positions.
It has to be mighty crowded under that bus. I have a feeling they are going to need a fleet of buses.
No doubt. I truly believe the SS agents or whoever controlled access were told to let those crashers in on Rodgers’ orders. When it turned into a crapstorm, the SS agents were thrown under the bus because there was a lot of CYA going on.
The potential was there for a catastrophe of such high consequence that the failure would of reverberated for quite sometime.
It’ll truly be interesting to see if she finally gets that subpoena and goes in front of those looking into this and most importantly, answers truthfully.

Anybody wondering why it took this long for her to “resign” (that is, for her to be shown the door)? She’s “quitting” to “spend more time with her family”, but give it a month and she’ll resurface in a no-show job with a major corporation. Desiree is so incompetent that all the companies that owe the administration a favor (and don’t want her) spent months passing around her resume until they were able to haggle over which company is going to take one for the team.
I’m betting Desiree will have a job in an industry that she knows nothing about and will be paid an executive salary to work PR. She’ll attend a corporate party once a month, slurp free drinks, eat French banquet food, and mingle with corporate types. Ever wonder why these people prefer dying on the job instead of retirement? Free travel, free drinks, free food, and mingling with the giants of industry as if you’re one of them is addicting.
