Yes, I live in a town nearby where this incident occurred (the IA incident). Horrifying that we do basically nothing to protect innocent people from really “out-there” dangerous people such as the young man who murdered the very distinguished and accomplished HS coach. We are all sitting ducks, truly, just waiting for some nutcase who gets it in his/her head that we are Satan and need killing.
Simple answer, citizen. Go get some weapons training and purchase your own defense. Then, don’t hesitate to use it. Otherwise, prepare to live as my friend in Nigeria does - under curfew from 6 PM to 6 AM where anyone found in violation can be shot on sight. This is how they keep order and protect their people from each other. I, for one, don’t want to live that way. But, if we keep dilly dallying around with this asinine gun restrictions that’s where this society will end up. We the People need to EXERCISE our rights before they are taken away by an over-reaching (benevolent?) government.
