Is she in any danger of losing? I’m guessing no...Obama has to raise his batting average and if he “endorses” safe candidates he can point to an outstanding track record.
This district's demographics have changed significantly since I lived on near its boundary over 20 years ago. There have been lots of condos built in and near downtown for professionals who work downtown. I talked to John Faulk at the 2008 Texas GOP Convention. He says the district could be winnable.
Ithink the district was gerrymandered to include all the black communities in Harris County. Someone has just discovered that the district is now majority Hispanic. This year or in 2012 she will be replaced with an Hispanic unless she is saved by this census and redistricting.
