TOKYO -- North Korea provided about 45 tons of "yellowcake" uranium to Syria in September 2007 for production of fuel for an undeclared nuclear reactor, diplomatic and military sources knowledgeable on North Korean issues said Saturday.
But the shipment was followed shortly by an Israeli air strike targeting the reactor and the uranium involved is believed to have been transferred to Iran around last summer, according to a Western diplomatic source.

A Look at Iran

P!
Obama White House/MSNBC/CNN/CBS/NBC/ABC/PBS - “No comment”
The Iranians are probably closer to having a working A-bomb than most people realize.
Geeze...wasn't there a man who warned the world of this in 2007? Wasn't he called a war mongering idiot? Hmmm...can't think of who that might have been.
Is that a real headline? Whose calling who NUMB!!!
100% real from a British newspaper the day after Kerry conceded finally.
Sorry, I grabbed the wrong headline. This is the one they used.
I would say between 12-18 months. But there is not really anyone there to inspect their operation(as far as we know) They have moved their operations underground.
What was also on that concrete-filled ship that stopped off in Eqypt, and I forget where else that day.
The one that re-flagged.
Mmmmmm cake!
Thanks for the correction!
“N. Korea Provided Raw Uranium To Syria (Iran)”
Iran is now Syria?

No surprise. Well, the Lecturer-in-Chief might be surprised...

Yellowcake.
The Iranians are probably closer to having a working A-bomb than most people realize.”
According to some here on FR, the Iranians already have nuke warheads fitted to missiles on the pad awaiting launch orders.
I doubt that the Iranians just want to nuke Tel Aviv alone (or even the other targets - Rome, NYC and LA via ship launches) - the more blood the better - will hit as many targets as possible - meaning dozens of strikes. They hope to touch off a worldwide nuclear exchange and bring Al Mahdi back quickly.
No, this can’t be true ... didn’t Ambassador Joe Wilson swear that the Iranians were not trying to procure yellowcake? /sarcasm
Syria in 2007 received approximately 45 tons of raw uranium from North Korea for use in producing fuel for a secret nuclear reactor, informed military and diplomatic sources told Kyodo News on Saturday
An Israeli air assault destroyed the undeclared reactor not long after Syria received shipment of the material and the "yellowcake" uranium is thought to have been sent to Iran in summer 2009, a Western diplomatic source said.
However, also according to GSN:
A Middle East military source, however, says that Damascus might actually have sent the uranium back to North Korea following the Israeli attack.
Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. is sitting on enough uranium cake to make a nuclear bomb as it waits for prices of the commodity to rebound, according to traders and nuclear experts.
Lehmans radioactive material is partly stored in Canada, Marsal said. One trader, who declined to specify a date, said he was offered 450,000 pounds of Lehman uranium stored in facilities owned by Canadas Cameco Corp. and Frances Areva SA.
Wow...talk about toxic assets ; )
Thanks for the information, no, I am not surprised, have thought they would supply anyone who had the money or hate of the U.S.
