BOSTON (AP) - Joseph P. Kennedy III, the son of a former congressman and the grandson of Robert F. Kennedy, said Sunday he had decided against running for the U.S. House from Massachusetts this year.
Kennedy told The Associated Press that he wants to remain in his new job as a prosecutor in Cape Cod's Barnstable County.
The 29-year-old Stanford University and Harvard Law graduate has held the post only for eight months.

Norfolk District Attorney William Keating, a Democrat investigating the handling of the 1986 Bishop shooting, is said to be weighing a run if Delahunt decides against seeking re-election, as are several state legislators. A decision from Delahunt is expected by the end of April.
Isn't that sweet? Yet another DA is hoping to eliminate his competition and then take his seat. Just like Andrew Cuomo and several hundred other Dem DAs.
Not running cause he can’t win?
He has not filled all the prerequisites: 1) He must demonstrate inability to operate tools (skis, cars, or airplanes), 2) he must become a full alcoholic, 3) he must flunk the bar, 4) he must have no discernible talents, and 5) he must have absolutely no morals.
Give him a year or so and he’ll be a fully qualified Kennedy.
I suspect he knows he’d lose. I don’t think the Kennedy “magic” is going to transfer to the new generation of voters.
This twerp makes Patrick Kennedy look smart. As we continue our descent through the fetid Kennedy germ plasm, each new generation becomes meaner, more stupid, and less able to tie their own shoes. It’s like devine revenge on the original anti-Semitic hate-monger and homicidal booth-legger, Joe Kennedy (”That bastard”) Kennedy.
My that was quick. It was only this morning I heard he was thinking of running and hadn’t a clue who he was.
Do these people know how to do *anything* productive?
