I think Dems crossed over and voted for Medina in hopes of throwing our primary into a runoff.

Epic fail? :-)

‘Medina, just said she would not concede tonight.’

No third party.

Watch for Bill White to campaign to the RIGHT of center, but remember, he’s a leftist thug through and through...

He’s a BS artist just like the fool in the White House.

I’d say you Texans have figured it out. ‘Cross-dressing’ Dems. Symmetry - Dems and Paulbots voting for the same loon?

They are one trick ponies- it is all about being anti-war or some conspiracy surrounding that. Neo-hippies.

Perry is not on our side, but he’s much better than total RINO Whitman and loser Campbell. Those two aren’t even fiscal conservatives.

Perry has been governor too long and he is bad. Him being governor for longer is no victory for Texas.

That Medina beee-yotch just told our local NBC reporter that she won't concede and that she wants this to go into a runoff!

How could that possibly benefit her?

Just more proof that these Paulbot Libertarians hate the Republicans more than they do the Democrats and the only reason they leech onto our ticket is in hopes of destroying the party from within.

Is this good news?

Not really. If I'm not mistaken, this is the same Governor who issued an executive order requiring all teenage girls in Texas to receive the Gardisil vaccine for the sexually transmitted virus that causes genital warts and cervical cancer. At the time, his former chief of staff had just taken a huge lobbying gig at Merck.

He's as big of a sleazeball as they come. But he also jumped on the Tea Party bandwagon early on and spouted a bunch of meaningless empty threats about Texas seceding from the Obama union.

I hate to say it, but most voters - including Republican voters - are extremely dumb. Ours are just a little less dumb than theirs are.

she wants this to go into a runoff!

I hope she can change bedpans and wipe bottoms better than she can recognize percentages.

KBH’s up for re-election in 2012. She said she was going to resign regardless of whether she won the nomination for Governor or not but she refused to take questions after her speech re the issue. She’s sold her house in DC so who knows what she’s going to do. My guess at this point is that she’ll stay in DC. Don’t trust her either way.

We are already working on Michael Williams’ challenge to her seat. He is one candidate I bet every FReeper can get behind.

Rick Perry is not the conservative that he pretends to be. Just a few years ago he was in hot water with the right. He appointed an abortionist to the state supreme court, signed one of those stupid "hate crimes" laws, issued an executive order mandating all schoolgirls receive the Gardasil vaccine, flip-flopped in favor of illegal immigration, endorsed Rudy Giuliani for President, and signed a massive new state franchise tax into law.

Then he figured out that the wind was shifting in the tea party direction, showed up at one of their early rallies at the Alamo, gave his name to some meaningless bluster about Texas resuming its independence, and became their instant hero.

Bottom line: most voters are dumb. Only difference between us and the Democrats is that our voters are just a little less dumb.

Today we call him Governor Rick Perry. Tomorrow, we may very well call him President Rick Perry.

Unless you want George W. Bush round II plus a whole lot of Clinton style cronyism, you oughta be praying that never happens. Perry is NOT what he seems. He's an opportunist politician who has made an entire career shifting wherever the wind blows. Right now it's blowing right so he's hanging out with Tea Partiers. But in the past its blown other ways.

If you want an idea of just how far Rick Perry shifts, the same guy was Al-freaking-Gore's Texas campaign chairman in the 1988 Democratic presidential race.

We get Jay/Sarah/RonDog a half-hour late because of election coverage.

Not too bad...:)
