some study will come out of a Liberal university claiming that they pose a bigger brain tumor threat than your cell phone....and then Katy bar the door....
To: Buckeye McFrog
That is funny, because they actually use only a fraction of the radio waves used by a cell phone.

Sounds like it’s working just fine.

What’s ironic is that if she made such a refusal in an Islamic national airport, she’d likely be beaten for noncompliance.

There has to be some form of walkway before boarding built to conceal scanners from the passengers, make it both out in the open scanners and secretly hidden scanners.
Everyone must be scanned, no exceptions.

If this happened in America and she didn't allow herself to be searched one could make a claim that none of her rights were violated, However she wasn't allowed to travel either. In America the TSA are federal employees and airports are run by the Federal government. The Federal government has no constitutionally enumerated power to regulate travel, the right to travel without interference is therefor inferred as a right retained by the people. So she can either give up her enumerated 4th amendment right or her un-enumerated right to travel. If you feel strongly that the government should have the power to regulate travel talk to your neighbors and representatives and have a constitutional amendment passed. Otherwise government should leave people the heck alone.

Are our rights only those listed in the bill of rights?

Is ignoring the constitution less suicidal then following the constitution? If the constitution needs to be changed then there is a mechanism to do so.

I don't blame them. I refuse to be scanned also, on grounds that I am a US citizen and the constitution forbids searches without a warrant, and a warrant can only be obtained through a judge after probably cause is demonstrated.
Therefore if the unconstitutional scanning continues at airports, along with unconstitutional searches, I refuse to fly. Therefore I will drive to where ever I wish to go. We have given up immense freedom by allowing this BS to be put into place. Sacrificing freedom for safety is the surest way to become subjects under a dictator.

This occurred in the UK. The US Constitution does not extend to Great Britain. You try to refuse here, and see what happens. But if you refuse in a foreign country, you won’t get on the plane.

I agree with you. Do the Israelis use scanners? No. If the TSA cannot physically strip search me, then TSA should not be able to do it virtually. I am amazed at how compliant Americans have become in giving up their freedoms.

You’re starting to sound like that idiot Ron Paul.

I don’t fly either but not because of this, but the long list of BS foisted on us through PC means since 9/11. Last flew in Jun, 2002 and I used to fly 4-5 times a year. I now drive everywhere I go or I don’t go.

If supporting and defending the constitution makes me a bad person then I confess to being a bad person. Unfortunately where Ron Paul was once an ardent defender of the constitution he has now become a ardent defender of libertarianism, which is not exactly the same thing. I do not support open borders, I DO think the war with Iraq was justified (morally and constitutionally), and I do not think that 9/11 was perpetrated by our government...so no I really don't sound like Ron Paul.

I knew it wasn't in the US.
I can't imagine our TSA barring a Muslim from a flight. That would be racist.

Our TSA can and has barred Muslims from flight for refusing to allow their luggage to be inspected.
